Victoria (Vickie) Marie Vallier

Victoria (Vickie) Marie Vallier, a resident of Auburn for over 60 years, passed away on July 24, 2015.

Vickie was born in Wichita, Kansas on February 21, 1924. She moved to Seattle in 1942 to work at Boeing where she served as a “Rosie, the Riveter”. In addition, she worked for the railroad and a plastics factory. She moved to Auburn in 1951 and became a founding member of Bible Baptist Church, now known as Grace Community Church.

She was involved in many community activities in Auburn, including the West Auburn PTA, YMCA Swim Group, the Senior Center and the Red Hat Society. In 2011, Vickie was selected as the Auburn Good Ole Days Pioneer Queen.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Fred Luschei of San Diego and her granddaughter, Alicia Luschei and grandson, Kenny Luschei. She is also survived by her sister, Wannetta Cloyd of Tarleton, Oklahoma. In addition, she is survived by her stepson, John Vallier, stepdaughter, Linda Vallier and foster daughter, Carol Litts.
