Yvonne (Vonnie) M. Tofstad, 58, of Auburn,
Washington passed away peacefully at home on
September 6th, 2020 a er a valiant 16-month battle
with the wicked disease we know as cancer.
Born July 27th, 1962 in Tacoma, Washington to
Paulette Sloan and Jerry Lundberg, Vonnie is survived
by her parents; her step-father, Fred Sloan; her
husband, Dave Tofstad; daughters, Paulette Dunbar
and Danielle Tofstad; step-son, Greg Tofstad; sisters,
Suzette Lundberg, Melissa and Felecia Hanson; and
step-sisters, Terri and Carmen Sloan. Also a multitude
of aunts, uncles, cousins, grandchildren, nieces and
nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother,
Jonathan Lundberg.
A devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister, she
lived and breathed the motto “there’s no place like
home.” Her haven and her sanctuary, Vonnie took
great pride in keeping her home immaculate, caring
for loved ones, and cooking incredibly tasty meals for
family. Her anksgiving dinners were second to none.
Unknowingly, she became the family hub. Vonnie was
always there for guidance, direction and information
for family and friends. She had a memory like no other.
A giving soul that never thought twice about giving the
shirt o her back to anyone in need. Vonnie very much
enjoyed gaming and reading in her spare time.
Our girl, without a doubt, was some kind of special!
Forever, and ever, in our hearts…
