We have just returned from the Seattle Symphony. It was a marvelous performance, a brilliant orchestra and a gorgeous venue.

But here’s the thing: We have an equally brilliant orchestra right here in our town, playing in a brand-spanking-new Performing Arts Center, whose acoustics rival those of Benaroya Hall. The parking is ample and free and the experience much more intimate and personal.

On Sunday, Oct. 9, the Auburn Symphony begins its 20th season with a stunning program of Rhapsodies and featuring an amazing piano soloist, Gleb Ivanov.
