The Auburn Riverside boys cross country team, keyed by senior Kenny Krotzer’s second-place, 15:10.55 finish, took second as a squad at the Nike Pre-National Bruce Danner 5K last Saturday at the Portland (Ore.) Meadows Golf Course.

Teammate Nate Gesell finished eighth in the Danner 5K with a 15:39.65 time.

Palos Verdes, Calif., finished first in the team competition.

Raven junior Keefe Hanson was fifth in the junior/senior boys 5K, finishing with

a personal -best 16:50.00.
