The Auburn Trojans earned their third win of the season on Friday with a 9-6 non-league win over district rival Auburn Mountainview.
After allowing the Lions (6-2 South Puget Sound League 3A division, 9-2 overall) three runs in the top of the first inning, the Trojans (3-5 SPSL 4A North, 3-8 overall) roared back by roughing up sophomore pitcher Steven Johnson to the tune of seven runs.
Johnson was tagged with the loss in the game, with Auburn’s Jacob Carson earning his first win of the season. Kyle Davis notched a save in the contest.
Offensively, the Trojans were led by Andrew Sansom who had three RBIs on 3-of-4 hitting. Brandon Christiansen was 2-of-4 from the dish and Travis Hagel added a home run.
