Auburn boys and girls fall to Jefferson | Track and Field

The Thomas Jefferson boys and girls track and field teams proved too much for the Auburn on Thursday, with the boys team falling to the Raiders 94-51 and the girls losing 113-37.

In the boys competition, the Trojans got first-place finishes in four events.

Senior Max Pratt continued his march to the state tourney in the javelin toss, earning a 192-fee, 3-inch mark.

Senior Danny Shelton was first in the shot put with a 53-00 mark.

In the 3,200 meter race sophomore Tyler Flannery earned gold with a 10-minute, 38.70-second time and junior Cody McCraine finished first in the 1,600 with a 4:32.44.

In the girls competition the Auburn girls earned four first-places, with sophomore Anna deCarteret winning the 3,200 with a 12:19.12.

Sophomore Linda Karout was first in the 100 hurdles with a 17.67 and second in the 300 hurdles with a 52.91.

Junior Abi Shaver was first in the 800 with a 2:40.24 and junior Nicole Cramer grabbed gold with a 1:05.83 personal best time in the 400.

Auburn will compete tomorrow at the South Kitsap Invitational in Port Orchard.
