Auburn Mountainview beats Enumclaw 9-2, prepares to host tournament | Boys Water Polo

The Auburn Mountainview Lions delivered a 9-2 victory over rival Enumclaw in boys water polo action Tuesday at the Enumclaw Pool.

The Auburn Mountainview Lions delivered a 9-2 victory over rival Enumclaw in boys water polo action Tuesday at the Enumclaw Pool.

The Lions were led by Stephen Creed with five goals, with John Kim and Brady Gardner adding two apiece.

Enumclaw’s Bennon Van Hoof and Mason Culp were responsible for the Hornet’s goals.

ALSO: The Auburn Riverside and Auburn Mountainview host the Auburn Water Polo Tournament Friday and Saturday at the Auburn Pool. The round-robin tournament will showcase players from the Lions and Ravens, as well as teams from Enumclaw, Peninsula, Emerald Ridge, Puyallup, Rogers, Lakes and Bainbridge Island.

The tourney kicks off at 3:30 p.m. Friday and continues at 8 a.m. Saturday.

• 6:50 p.m., Enumclaw versus Bainbridge Island;

• 7:30 p.m., Auburn Riverside versus Peninsula

• 8:10 p.m., Auburn Riverside versus Lakes; and

• 8:50 p.m., Peninsula versus Lakes.

Play resumes at 8 a.m. Saturday.

Admission to the tourney is $6 for adults, $4 for students and $2 for seniors and adults.
