Auburn Mountainview turned back Kentridge 7-6 at the regional boys water polo tournament last week, earning a ticket to this week’s state showcase at Curtis High School in University Place.
The Lions had beaten Wilson but lost to Bainbridge Island, setting up an elimination match with the Chargers. Auburn Mountainview pulling ahead early and used stout defense to preserve the win.
