The Auburn Mountainview girls earned a trip to the state 3A tournament and a shot at the district title with a 4-0 win over Timberline in the West Central District 3/Southwest District 4 3A tournament Thursday at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner.
Sophia Wagner powered the Lions (16-2-0) with two goals. Madi Clarkson and Delene Colburn also scored goals.
Kellcy Emory had two assists and Viktoriya Vasina added one assist.
Anastasia Finney and Rachel Fieser combined for the shutout in goal.
The Lions play Columbia River at noon Saturday at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma for the district title and home-field advantage for the first two games at the state tournament, which begins Nov. 13 at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup.

Auburn Riverside’s (9-5-3) postseason run came to an end on Thursday with a 2-1 overtime loss to Union in the WCD 3/SW 4 district tournament at McKenzie Stadium in Vancouver. The Ravens led at halftime 1-0, but were unable to hold off the Titans in the second half and overtime period.
