The Auburn Mountainview girls soccer team were defeated 1-0 by the defending state 2A champs in South Puget Sound League 3A play on Thursday.

Rachel Stowell had the lone goal in the contest, finding the back of the net in the second overtime.

The Lions are 6-2 in league, 6-3-1 overall and will host Bonney Lake at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Sumner remains tied with Auburn Riverside atop the SPSL 3A standings with identical 7-1-0 league record. The Ravens and Spartans square off at 7 p.m. Oct. 21 at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner.

ALSO: The Ravens blanked Lakes 4-0 at Auburn Riverside on Thursday. They will play Stadium in a nonleague match at 7:15 p.m. Monday… Auburn fell 1-0 at Enumclaw on Thursday. The Trojans remain in fifth-place in league with a 2-6-0 record. The team will travel to Lakes (1-7-0) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
