Auburn Mountainview posted its fourth win of the baseball season with a 3-1 victory against Auburn on Friday at Auburn Mountainview High School.

Sophomore Mason Cerrillo earned the win on the mound with two innings in relief of senior starter Shawn Guinn. Cerrillo had two strikeouts and gave up one hit.

Senior Manveer Atwal who had two hits, RBI and a run for the Lions (4-0 overall). Senior Bruce McCulloch and junior Joey Cassano added an RBI apiece.

Senior Nick Brooks went 2-of-3 from the plate and added a run. So far this season, Brooks has keyed the Lions with a .667 batting average with three doubles, seven RBIs and a home run.

Statistics for Auburn were not reported.

Auburn Mountainview begins league play with a home game against South Puget Sound League 3A rival Enumclaw at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Auburn (0-4) travels to Kentlake at 4 p.m. Tuesday for its SPSL North 4A opener.
