• OUTLOOK: The Lions return the bulk of their lineup from last year’s 3A state playoff team. The Lions rely on Hunter, the squad’s Most Improved Player last year, to handle the bulk of the work.

“We bring back a solid defensive core of players,” Walker said. “Our outfield returns three all-league guys from last year and looks very good. So far this spring we are looking much stronger offensively than we have ever been. We have a good combination of speed and power in our lineup and hope to score a lot of runs this year.”
