Auburn Mountainview stays perfect in league with 3-0 win over Decatur; Riverside tightens grip on SPSL North 4A first place with 3-1 win over Rams; Auburn falls 3-1 to Kent-Meridian | Girls Prep Volleyball

The Auburn Mountainview girls ran their South Puget Sound League 3A record to 5-0 (7-2 overall) with a 25-5, 25-13, 26-24 win over Decatur on Thursday.

Senior Megan Evans had fourteen assists, 6 digs and four aces in the contest. Junior Caitlin Carr and freshman Moly Cichosz added four kills and four aces apiece. Kelsey Fausko had eight kills and a block and Alex Odren had nine digs.

The Lions remain in first place in the SPSL 3A and will host Peninsula (1-3 league, 3-3 overall) at 7 p.m. Monday.

ELSEWHERE: Auburn Riverside (3-0 SPSL North 4A, 5-3 overall) defeated Mount Rainier (0-4, 2-7) 3-1 with scores of 25-23, 25-18, 17-25, 25-15 Wednesday at Mount Rainer. The Ravens will travel to Tahoma (4-0, 6-3) at 7 p.m. Monday… Auburn (1-2, 3-6) fell 3-1 to Kent-Meridian (2-2, 5-3) on Wednesday. Junior Isia Johnson had 17 kills and 12 digs and Skyler Atkinson added 11 kills and 11 digs. Sandi Mihaylova had 40 assists. The Trojans will travel to Kentwood (3-1, 7-3) at 7 p.m. Monday.
