Seventeen individual competitors and five relay teams qualified with their performances at this past week’s South Puget Sound League/Seamount League 3A sub-district meet.

“Our kids really competed well at the sub-district meet,” Lions coach Joel McDougall said. “We have the ultimate goal of getting to the state meet, so we know there is still work to do. We had some kids who really stepped up and had some nice personal records but more importantly didn’t back down. We want them to not settle, to compete at everything they do, and I thought they did a good job of it over the two days of the meet.”
