Auburn Mountainview sophomore diver Hannah Houck qualified for the finals at last weekend’s state 3A swimming and diving championships, earning a 14th-place finish.

Houck qualified with a 190.5 in the preliminary competition and moved on to Saturday’s finals where she compiled a 263.70 to earn a placing.

Kennedy’s Paige Greely took the diving title, posting a 404.00 in the finals.

Also competing at the 3A meet were Houck’s teammates, junior Taylor Lavine and sophomore Avalon Lanz.

Lavine, who finished first in the 50-meter freestyle at the West Central District III swim meet, finished 21st overall in her event, with a 26.25-second time.

Meadowdale’s Anna Keane snagged the state title in the 50 free with a time of 24.00.

In the 500 free, Lanz notched a 19th-place time of 5:45.91. Bainbridge’s Sarah Grundman won the event in a time of 5:04.25.
