Auburn Mountainview gymnast Kayla Porter posted a 38.375 all-around score at this past Saturday’s South Puget Sound League 3A meet at Mt. Rainier High School, placing first in all four individual events.
Porter posted a 9.450 vault, a 9.80 on the beam, a 9.550 on the bars and a 9.575 floor exercise score.
The win moves Porter on to next Saturday’s district meet at Mount Rainier High School.
The entire Auburn Riverside squad, which finished second in the team competition with a 154.325 points, also moves on to the district meet.
The Ravens were fueled by the top-ten all-around finishes of Tyler Johnston, who was fifth with 34.550 and Luba Migdal who grabbed seventh with 33.550 points.
Also moving on are Hannah Wilson, Kristina Kovalchuk, Amanda Bunger, Cierra Deissler and Madison Thompson.
Auburn Mountainview, who finished third in the team competition with 148.275, move on eight individual qualifiers to the district meet.
Breanna Shahan qualified in all four individual events, with Brianna Provo moving on in the vault, beam and floor.
Jessica Johnson qualified in the bars and floor.
In the beam, Maddie Massagh, Jocyline Lacey-Wood and Valentina Kaganyuk all move on.
Nhu Huynh qualified in the bars and Samantha Lewis moves on in the vault.
Auburn, which finished fifth in the team competition with 113.350, moves on two individuals with Phileena Lahue qualifying in the vault and Priscilla Sanpraphet qualifying in the beam and bars.
Enumclaw won the team competition with a 170.400 score.
The West Central District III/Southwest District 4 meet is Feb. 14 at Mount Rainier High School.
The Washington State 3A Gymnastics meet is Feb. 20-21 at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall.
