Auburn Mountainview’s Morgan named to WSBCA All-State team

Auburn Mountainview's Jeffrey Morgan has been named to the Washington State Baseball Coaches Association's 3A All-State first team.

Auburn Mountainview’s Jeffrey Morgan has been named to the Washington State Baseball Coaches Association’s 3A All-State first team.

Morgan, a junior outfielder, led the Lions with 23 RBIs this season, hit .378, scored 23 runs and slugged two doubles, a triple and two home runs.

Morgan also led the team in stolen bases with 21 in 24 attempts.

In the field, Morgan committed only two errors in 38 total chances, with 32 putouts and four assists.

Auburn Mountainview finished the season 15-10 overall, 11-4 in the South Puget Sound League 3A. The Lions were eliminated in the West Central District III/Southwest District 4 tourney.

Lakeside’s Dana Papasedero was named 3A Coach of the Year by the WSBCA, and senior Lakeside pitcher Adrew Summerville was chosen Player of the Year.
