The Auburn Riverside gymnastics team qualified as a team at this past Saturday’s South Puget Sound League sub-district meet at Mount Rainer High School.
The Ravens posted a 153.125 team score to take sixth place and move the entire squad on to this Saturday’s West Central District III 4A meet.
Auburn Riverside was led by Madi Miller who scored a 32.550 in the all-around competition, good for 16th place.
Kylie Urban finished 22nd in the all-around with a 31.750 and teammate Bri Cooke was 32nd with a 29.975.
Hannah Wilson finished 34th with an all-around score of 29.600 and Casey Kaku was 38th with a 29.250.
Also moving on for the Ravens are Emily Polkow, Maddy Thompson and Libby Sakai.
Emerald Ridge captured the team title at the sub-district meet with a 172.300 score, with Puyallup taking second with a 167.075 and Jefferson third with a 164.475.
The top two teams will move out of the district meet to the Washington State 4A Gymnastics Championships Feb. 22-23 at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall. The top 10 individuals on each event and top three all-arounds will also move on.
The Ravens will compete at the West Central District III 3A meet beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Mount Rainier High School in Des Moines.
