The Auburn Riverside baseball team secured a spot in the Washington State 4A baseball tournament with an 14-12 seven-inning win over Union, yesterday at Kent Memorial Park.
Knotted up 12-12 in the top of the seventh frame, Raven senior Kell Garrison scored the winning run on a wild pitch.
Teammate Kai Uwaine added an insurance run, also scoring on a wild pitch.
Pitcher Kyle Swanson sealed the win, holding off Union batters in the bottom of the seventh inning.
The win guarantees the Ravens (14-8) either the fifth or eighth seed out of the West Central/Southwest 4A bi-district tourney.
Auburn Riverside will play Federal Way (14-6) at 1 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Park in Puyallup.
