Auburn Riverside still in the hunt for district berth | Fastpitch

With a 1-1 record in the double-elimination South Puget Sound League 4A tournament, the Auburn Riverside girls will know the fate of their season by the end of the day.

The Ravens (13-6) lost their open round contest in the tourney 9-2 to Rogers (15-6), Thursday afternoon at Service Fields in Kent.

Hannah Melick had an RBI in the contest and pitcher Alyssa Jarmen was tagged with the loss.

In their second game of the tourney on Thursday, Auburn Riverside kept their postseason dreams alive with a 13-3 win over Todd Beamer (11-9).

The Ravens will play Emerald Ridge (12-6) in a loser-out contest at 4 p.m today at Service Fields. A win earns Auburn Riverside a 7 p.m. game tonight for a shot at the fourth or sixth seed out of the SPSL.
