Auburn Riverside snagged a 2-1 overtime, shootout win against visiting Sumner in a South Puget Sound League 3A girls soccer match Thursday.

The win tightens the Ravens’ grip on first place in the SPSL 3A with a 4-0-0 league record, 5-0-0 overall.

The Spartans, who won back-to-back 2A state titles in 2012 and 2013 before moving up to 3A this season, dropped to 3-1-0 in league, 4-2-0 overall.

The Ravens’ Taylor Smith scored the lone goal in regulation, unassisted at the 28th minute.

The Spartans tied it up in the 51st minute.

After an overtime period, the Ravens came out on top in a shootout.

Auburn Riverside travels to Bonney Lake (1-3-0, 2-3-0) at 7 p.m. next Tuesday.
