For the first time since the 2007 3A state championship game, the Auburn Trojans will be playing at T-Mobile Park on April 20 against Ballard High School, with the first pitch at 6 p.m.
With Auburn playing at T-Mobile, the Trojans must fundraise in order to play.
“What is the baseball team selling?” one may ask. The answer to that is simple: baseball tickets.
Auburn’s baseball program is selling main level tickets on the first base line for $30, which is $21 less than retail price. The tickets are for June 14 against the 2023 World Series champs and division rival Texas Rangers. Additionally, the Auburn Reporter has been told that there will be a fireworks show following the game against the Rangers.
The Rangers not only won the World Series last season, but also had MVP runner-up Corey Seager, all-stars Adolis Garcia, Josh Jung and more. Tickets are going to be in sections 114, 115 and 116, so this is an opportunity to see the Rangers up close and personal while supporting high school athletics with an afforable ticket.
Auburn had a solid season last year in a tough division. The Trojans snuck into the District 3 Tournament as the 13th seed and took down North Thurston, but ultimately got eliminated by Prairie, 5-3.
Auburn Riverside will also be playing at T-Mobile against Mount Si on April 6, and it is reportedly a night game.
