Auburn’s Gavronski defeats Johnson in Battle of the Boat main event

Auburn’s Mike “Imagine Me” Gavronski pounded out a unanimous decision over California’s Dashon “Fly Boy” Johnson in a 10-round middleweight main event Friday night.

The judges scored it 98-91, 98-91 and 95-94.

Gavronski rallied after a point deduction in the seventh round, taking home the decision in front of a hometown crowd at the Emerald Queen Casino.

In the undercards, each four-round battles, Andres Reyes earned a unanimous decision over Benny Vinson, Antonio Neal defeated Ron Pryce with a TKO in the first round, Marquice Weston and Lamont Williams fought to a majority draw and Jeremy McCleary defeated Damen Wood by a unanimous decision.
