Auburn’s Olivia Lanier has signed a letter of intent to continue her volleyball career at Northwestern College (Orange City, Iowa) next fall.
Lanier is a 5-foot-6 setter and outside hitter who played two years for the Rainier Christian High School volleyball team. Lanier ranked 10th in the state in hitting and kills, totaling 212 kills as a senior. She ranked second in the state with 111 ace serves and sixth with 235 digs.
Lanier earned first=team all-conference honors and was named the league’s most valuable player in leading her team to a 17-6 record.
A member of the National Honor Society, Lanier plans to major in psychology at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Tony and Heidi Lanier.
“Olivia comes to us after an outstanding high school career,” said Northwestern College volleyball coach Kyle Van Den Bosch. “She has the ability to play a number of different positions for us. Olivia has a passion for Christ and will fit in really well with our team.”
