Central Washington University junior pitcher Brandon Williams – an Auburn Mountainview graduate – has been named the Greater Northwest Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year.
Williams posted a league-leading 2.04 ERA this season in 70 2/3 innings of work, finishing with a 8-3 record. He threw five complete games for the Wildcats and held opposing batters to a .217 batting average while striking out a conference-high 81 batters.
Williams, a 6-foot, 225-pound right-hander, transferred to Central Washington University in 2013 after stints at Washington State University and Mount Hood Community College.
