The No. 1 ranked Auburn Riverside girls basketball team continued their unbeaten streak, mowing down the University (Spokane) girls 58-42 on Tuesday evening.
The Ravens shot out to a 23-15 halftime lead and piled on another 35 points in the second half to get the non-league win and improve to 8-0 on the season. Auburn Riverside is 5-0 in the South Puget Sound League North 4A.
Mercedes Wetmore led the Ravens with 15 points with senior Makenna Clark getting her first action of the season coming off an injury and pouring in 10 points. Brook Hinkens added nine points.
The Ravens will host the No. 2 ranked Lewis and Clark Tigers tonight at 7 p.m. The team will resume league play on Jan. 5 with an away game against the Jefferson Raiders (2-4 league, 3-5 overall).
