Lions’ run at 3A girls state berth ends with loss to White River

Sabra Sproul scored 13 points to lead White River past Auburn Mountainview 51-45 in a loser-out, winner-to-state playoff at the the West Central/Southwest 3A Bi-District tournament at Clover Park on Wednesday night.

Stephanie Smolinski led the Lions with 18, and Aly Carr had 13.

Auburn Mountainview finished the season 15-8.
