Lions tumble; Ravens edge Trojans 9-8

Despite Nate Weeldreyer’s complete-game gem, Auburn Mountainview dropped a 3-2 North Puget Sound League Olympic Division baseball game to visiting Enumclaw on Tuesday night.

The Lions dropped to 7-6 in the division, 7-11 overall. The Hornets moved to 6-6 and 9-7.

Weeldreyer struck out 12, walked two and allowed three hits over seven innings. He also doubled and tripled.

Hayden Byorick drove in two runs to lead the Lions.

Auburn Riverside 9, at Auburn 8: Alex Sugi and Giovanni Parascondola each doubled and drove in two runs and Preston Heurion homered as the Ravens (5-8, 9-9) defeated the Trojans (4-9, 7-11) in Olympic play.

Sam Spicciati took the win. Juan Hernandez took the loss. Jace Graves homered and drove in three runs for the Trojans.
