Ravens’ Coburn snags share of all-around title; Mount Rainier edges AR in four-way meet | Prep Gymnastics

Auburn Riverside senior Latia Coburn scored a 33.80 in Wednesday’s four-way gymnastics meet – featuring Auburn Riverside, Mount Rainier, Auburn Mountainview and Auburn – trying Mount Rainier’s Katya Kommisarova for the all-around title.

In the team competition, Mount Rainier edged the Auburn schools, posting a 161.30 score. The Ravens were second with a 160.15, followed by Auburn Mountainview (154.05) and Auburn (141.50).

Coburn won the floor event with a 9.2 and the bars with an 8.4. She was third in the vault with an 8.45 and ninth on the beam with a 7.75.

Auburn Mountainview’s Sara Fiksdal, shown below, snagged fourth in the all-around with a 32.85 and teammate Hannah Houck finished tied for fifth with Auburn Riverside’s Madi Miller, both with a 32.25.

Auburn’s highest all-around finisher was Bailie Davis, who notched a 31.80.

All four schools will compete in the Feb. 4 South Puget Sound League sub-district meet at Mount Rainier High School.
