2-MAN AT THE BEND
This tournament at Riverbend Golf Course in Kent is scheduled for June 13-14. The team entry fee is $300. Competition is 36 holes of better ball play. It is open to players with an established and verifiable USGA handicap index. The deadline for paying entry fees is June 11. A Skins Game is set for Friday, June 12, from noon-1:30 p.m. The entry fee for that event is $20, along with the green fees. AUBURN PARKS YOUTH PROGRAM
This is a developmental program for boys and girls in grades K-8 and for coaches. Teams will practice once or twice a week. All games will be played in Auburn, usually on Saturdays, with the possibility of one or two weeknight games. The program runs from late September through mid November. The registration fees (based on age) range from $25 to $40 for Auburn residents, and from $32 to $50 for non-residents, and are due by Aug. 5. All registration fees include a team shirt and a ball. The pool offers several programs. PUBLIC SWIMS are available Monday through Friday from 1-3 p.m. and 7-8 p.m. at $2.75 for adults and $2.25 for youths. LAP SWIMS are scheduled for Monday through Friday from 6-8 a.m., noon-1 p.m. and 8-9 p.m. at $3.75 for adults and $2.75 for youths. LESSONS are available on a Monday-Wednesday or Tuesday-Thursday basis from 5:30-7 p.m., and on Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-noon. Prices depend on age. Auburn Parks will host this event on Sunday, May 17, from 1-3:30 p.m. on the tennis courts at Auburn High School, 700 E. Main St. It is free and open to the public. Families are welcome to attend. It will feature interactive games, instruction, and activities such as QuickStart Tennis and Rapid Rally Tennis contests. Participants will have a chance to win prizes and learn more about summer tennis programs offered in Auburn.
