BASEBALL

EVERGREEN STATE SPORTS

The organization is accepting NEW PLAYER REQUESTS for interviews for admission into its developmental programs. Teams currently seeking to fill rosters are 9-U, 11-U, 12-U, 13-U, 15/16-U, and 18-U. The 2008-09 TRAINING YEAR CYCLE is now under way. Team and individual sessions are available. The club is forming new 8- and 10-year-old teams to join its 12, 14, 16 and 18 age squads. Teams have limited spots available. Individual players may train with existing teams. The FALL INSTRUCTIONAL SERIES is in progress. WRESTLING

AUBURN PARKS YOUTH PROGRAM

This developmental for wrestlers ages 6-12 focuses on fundamentals, sportsmanship, conditioning, teamwork and confidence in a fun but competitive atmosphere. Practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. Matches are on Saturdays, with some travel in the surrounding area required. Matches last between four and eight hours, depending on whether it’s a dual meet or a tournament. The cost is $75-$85 per wrestler, based on residency, and the early registration deadline is Oct. 20.
