Auburn Riverside High School’s Andrew Adam, diving, is the Auburn Reporter’s Male Athlete of the Week.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Psychology.

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: I love trampolines and tumbling. I also enjoy computers and their hardware.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My high school coach, Todd, pushed me and got me to show up to every practice and out of my comfort zone.

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: Before a meet I usually distract myself with my friends/teammates so I’m not too in my head. After meets most of the divers go out and we get food.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “Talk” by Khalid.

A: Chemistry.

A: Club gymnastics.

A: My parents have helped and supported me throughout my entire gymnastics career.

A: Before every meet I listen to Shawn Mendes.

A: I love every Shawn Mendes song.

At the state gymnastics meet, Hailey took fifth in the all-around and seventh on the bars. Hailey’s performance lead the team to a fifth-place finish.
