Swaim selected as District 3 Athletic Director of the Year

Rob Swaim, director of athletics and activities for the Auburn School District, was recently selected by the Washington Secondary Schools Athletic Administrators Association as the District 3 Athletic Director of the Year.

He was nominated by his peers and the selection was announced at the state conference last month. Swaim has served as president of the North Puget Sound league for the last seven years. He has been a part of state golf for five years, state football for 10 years, Puget Sound State Water Polo for 16 years, and hosted many league, district and regional tournaments over the years.

ASD Superintendent Alan Spicciati said, “Auburn student athletes have benefited immensely from Rob’s leadership. His passion for participation, safety, sportsmanship, supporting coaches, and lesser-known sports like water polo have provided limitless opportunities for students in Auburn.”
