Pa’Treon “Joosey” Lee scored 21 points and KaSean Griffin had 13 as Auburn turned away host Bellarmine Prep 49-45 in the West Central/Southwest 4A District boys basketball tournament Wednesday night.
The Trojans (15-7) advance to play Union in the quarterfinals at 6 p.m. Friday at Puyallup High School.
Curtis, meanwhile, defeated visiting Auburn Mountainview 64-49 on Wednesday, dropping the Lions into a loser-out game against Skyview. Tipoff is 7:45 p.m. Friday at Tacoma’s Wilson High School.
Talan Alfrey and Quinn Lacey each had 14 points and Zach Richardson scored 12 for the Lions (7-17).
